After many months of development, we are proud to announce the Boeing Overhead Panel. This is based on the Boeing 737NG and is a true replica in size and visuals of the real product. One thing which has always been difficult for builders, is to backlight their panels for the ultimate quality factor but also for a good price. This is truly where GLB Flight Products comes into offering a fully engraved panel which is ready for backlighting and looks fantastic - conveying absolute quality. The overhead is an excellent package deal for the FWD and also the AFT overhead, which together make the full overhead found in the Boeing 737. As well as this we are including all relevant dummy annunciators for the FWD and AFT overhead, all engraved so therefore can be backlit too using coloured LED's not included. (Please see the overhead electronics listing) The extras carry on, as we are including all relevant guages you would find, laser printed as dummies which will help the overhead look as authentic as possible. All panels are produced from pearl acrylic, which has been sprayed in durable Boeing grey paint, then engraved. The fuel panels also include the white top panels as seen in the 737NG. We recommend permanent backlighting of the overhead, as in daytime and bright light, lettering may not be seen as well. When backlit, as you can see from the pictures, the overhead is truly at its best and looks tremendous. Please note this great price of £434.99 GBP is for the completed panels. Switch guards, dzus fasteners, knobs and switches/rotaries are not included with the overhead but can be purchased from the site, if you want to buy peice by peice to make up the overhead. Alternatively we can offer one electronics kit specially for the overhead from the product page. The overhead does not include a frame and we do not offer this for sale, so is up to the purchaser to produce a suitable frame and lighting to house the panels. Once the electronics have been purchased, we recommend the Leo Bodnar card to connect the electronics to the PC and Flight Simulator however there are many interface programs available. Last, but not least a fantastic value piece here, comparing to other vendors there is a huge saving to be made. And this is perfect for simbuilders embarking on the overhead in the near future, and want the quality of durable backlit panels at an excellent price. In our independent study, we found our overhead is around half price of what is offered elsewhere based on the FWD and AFT overhead with electronics. NOTE: There is currently a lead time of around 3 months before we can begin processing your order, so please order early if you want your overhead in the near future because as more orders are placed, the time to produce them will increase as all overheads are carefully handmade and engraved at GLB Flight Products. We also decided to sell the FWD and AFT overhead together, as they may not be compatible with a part of the overhead from elsewhere so we encourage the purchase of the full overhead. Finally please look at the pictures of a great product, please be aware when looking that the edges of the panels, they are pearl acrylic, as we only top coat the panels to ensure the best paint finish possible. I beleive this has no effect at all to the overall authenticity, and provides more light especially on the guages which look very good. On a side note, we regretfully do not provide backlighting methods to sell yet.
